Ms. Abe at the front desk sincerely apologized, over the phone and in writing, for the air conditioning problem. Also, she returned my bicycle gloves to me free of charge and expressed interest in my bicycle trip. The public bath was very good. Breakfast was good.
I woke up between 2:00 and 3:00 because the air conditioner was dripping (at a rather high rate). I turned it off, but it continued to drip and keep me awake until I went to breakfast. I had a hard time that day due to my lack of sleep. I had planned to reach Fukushima City (next hotel reservation), but I was completely exhausted when I got to Sendai. I took a train to Fukushima instead. I had planned to cycle back to my home in Kawasaki on the 14th after a stay at Hotel Route Inn Koga Ekimae on the 13th, but I was so exhausted that I had to end my trip. I cancelled that reservation and took a bullet train back to Tokyo.
